Owen Memelo, PT, DPT, is a graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies as well as his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Owen found a love for physical therapy from a young age when a diagnosis of achilles tendonitis sidelined him during his senior track season. Through steady rehabilitation, Owen made a full recovery and went on to set multiple high school track and field records. Owen then went on to compete for Ithaca College’s Cross Country and Track and Field programs.

Owen’s clinical experience includes an extensive focus on outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Owen has worked with a variety of populations in these settings, including musculoskeletal pathology, cardiopulmonary deconditioning, and balance and fall prevention. Owen values exercise-based rehabilitation in addition to manual therapy techniques to achieve the best results for his patients. He believes movement is the best medicine, and emphasizes the importance of involving the patient in their own rehabilitation.

A native of Churchville, New York, Owen recently found his way to Henrietta, NY where he resides with his fiancée Olivia and their two cats. In his free time, Owen enjoys running around Rochester and exploring nearby Finger Lakes. Owen currently treats at the Victor office and can be reached via phone at (585) 924-3250.
