Charlie Shuman is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-owner of Lattimore Physical Therapy, playing an integral role in advancing the organization’s mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered care throughout the region. As a member of the next generation of leadership, he is focused on building upon his family’s legacy while continuing to strengthen the culture, clinical excellence, and community relationships that define the Lattimore Way.
Charlie earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College in 2022, after completing both his undergraduate and master’s degrees at Penn State University, where he was also a member of the university’s football program. His experience as a collegiate athlete shaped his disciplined, performance-driven approach to rehabilitation and deepened his understanding of the physical and mental demands placed on patients and athletes alike.
Clinically, Charlie has experience working with elite-level athletes and individuals with general orthopedic conditions. His areas of focus include post-operative rehabilitation and the treatment of hip, knee, and ankle injuries, as well as shoulder, neck, and back pain. He has a strong interest in manual therapy, functional movement assessment, and the integration of strength and conditioning principles to optimize outcomes. Charlie is completing his Gift of Functional Medicine Fellowship this year, further enhancing his ability to provide comprehensive, individualized care.
As a leader within the organization, Charlie is dedicated to preserving its standard of excellence while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment where employees are valued and empowered to grow.
